Pastor Bob Beckler

Pastor Bob and Lori, his wife, are welcomed to the community of Lake Wales from Wichita, Kansas where Bob served on staff at Central Community Church for 8 years in the role of Assimilation and Athletics.
Bob is originally from South Dakota, but was raised in Wisconsin, Nebraska, Kansas, and Minnesota. He attended St. John’s College in Winfield, KS and has 24 years ministry experience in teaching, coaching, administration, and pastoring. He has worked to use his skills as a basketball player and coach, as well as in teaching and administration in practical ways within the church and community. He has been involved with Upward Basketball and served on the state (KS) board of directors for Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), as well as being a trained leader of Celebrate Recovery.
Lori, originally from Kansas, is also active in ministry. She spent 18 years in the travel industry, with a specialty in convention planning. She is the co-founder of Heritage Keepers, a women’s style Promise Keepers event, that she and Bob organized for 11 years. Lori has been very involved in Women’s ministry and has spoken at several Women’s conferences. In addition, Lori has co-authored a book with Dee Brestin, entitled, “My Daughter, My Daughter.”
Bob and Lori have been married for almost 30 years. They have two adult married children. Nicole is married to Aaron Varner and they are serving as missionaries in Berlin, Germany. Dan is married to Ellie and they live in California.
